Product · MotoLock

An alarm that knows the difference between a passing truck and a thief.

MotoLock is a motorcycle alarm built around one question: what actually happened to the bike? A vibration-sensing node and a LoRa radio answer it before your phone buzzes.

$35 base kit · one-time · no subscription

The base kit ships the sensor node and the gateway. Nothing else to buy to get started.

In the box

The base kit

Everything you need for a working alarm on day one — for less than most people spend on one month of a cellular tracker.

Sensor node with a three-axis accelerometer and a LoRa transceiver

Sits on the bike. Watches vibration. Decides what deserves an alert.

Gateway — the plug-in receiver that talks to your phone

Bridges the LoRa link to the Sectech mobile app. No cellular plan for the alarm.

Mounting hardware and the Sectech mobile app

Ready to fit and arm. Simple enough to install in minutes.

Our firmware, updates included for the life of the product

Patches and improvements land without a recurring charge.

Specification

Three reasons it's different

Built for Beirut parking, underground garages, and a market nobody else builds for.

Advantage 01

Range, without the subscription

Every competitor makes you choose. Raw RF reaches across a car park and no further, so the alarm is useless the moment you leave the building. Cellular works everywhere — and costs about $5 a month, forever, on top of handing your location to a telecom operator and a foreign cloud.

Raw RF — short range, unreliable where it matters
Cellular — works, but $5/month and a privacy problem
LoRa — kilometre-scale range over infrastructure you control, no recurring fee

The result: a link that still works in a basement garage, with nothing left to pay next month.

Advantage 02

Fewer false positives

Every alarm asks a human to make a decision. Get it wrong too often and the device gets ignored — which is the same as having no alarm at all. So MotoLock does not alert on motion; it analyses the vibration.

A truck on the street — steady low-frequency rumble
A cat on the wheel — short, irregular, high-frequency
Wind and rain — broadband, non-repeating
Someone working on the bike — a deliberate, structured pattern

The result: the phone wakes up for events worth waking up for.

Advantage 03

Modular by design

One base, and every capability you actually want added on top of it. Modules plug into the same bus, so you buy what you need now and add the rest later without replacing the unit.

Buy the base, add modules only if you need them
One wiring bus, one firmware platform
Upgrade path without throwing away a working node

Add-on modules

One node, six ways to extend it

The base kit is complete. These are add-ons when your use case needs them.

📍

GPS module

Position, movement history and geofencing on top of the alarm.

📶

4G module

For riders who want live data and reach from anywhere, without changing the base unit.

📱

Bluetooth module

Direct communication between the node and your phone.

⚙

Fork strain sensor

Detects forced damage applied to the steering fork — the silent attempt that does not look like a theft.

↕

Stand sensor

Determines whether the motorcycle is on its side stand or its centre stand.

+

And more

The bus is the same for every module we add, so the list keeps growing.

In development

Eventually: a mesh.

A future version lets MotoLock units talk to each other, so a fleet of bikes can cover ground that no single unit can see — including positions where a direct link to the gateway is blocked.

Optional and opt-in. The base kit works exactly as it does today with the mesh switched off.

It is a natural fit for the modular architecture: more range, no extra subscription, no new hardware for the user.

Questions

Before you order

Is there a monthly fee?

No. The base kit is a one-time $35 purchase with no subscription attached to the alarm, the radio link or the app. That is the point: LoRa removes the recurring cost that makes cellular trackers expensive to run.

What happens if there is no cellular signal?

Nothing breaks. LoRa does not use the cellular network at all, and the gateway does not need one either unless you add the 4G module. The alarm works in a basement, an underground garage or a dead zone.

Can I add modules later?

Yes. Every module uses the same bus, so GPS, 4G, Bluetooth, the fork-strain sensor and the stand sensor can be added whenever you want them — to the node you already own.

How does it avoid false alarms from traffic?

It measures the vibration frequency and pattern rather than simply detecting movement. Passing vehicles, animals and deliberate tampering have different signatures, and the node classifies the signal before it decides to alert you.

What does Sectech do after I buy it?

We support and update it for the life of the product. Firmware patches, after-sales service, spares and upgrades are all part of the deal — a device we sell is a device we maintain.
